On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Filip Hronek, D, VAN vs. DAL (44% rostered)
Playing alongside Quinn Hughes helps immensely, and Hronek has now scored three points in his past two games. The Canucks tend to match up against the Stars quite well, and the Hughes-Hronek pairing is by far their most indispensable, playing in nearly all situations. Hronek plays a lot of minutes offers upside in multiple categories including points and blocks.
Dmitry Orlov, D, SJ vs. LA (38% rostered)
Orlov has gone four games without a point so his fantasy value’s lost some luster, but he remains PP1 with Macklin Celebrini, arguably the hottest forward in the league right now. Despite not being known for his offense, Orlov has 11 helpers through 20 games and that number should continue to increase as long as shares the ice with Celebrini.
Jamie Drysdale, D, PHI vs. STL (5% rostered)
The production could be a lot better, but I like the matchup against the Blues. Drysdale currently quarterbacks PP1 with good friend Trevor Zegras, and notched an assist on the Flyers’ lone goal Saturday against the Stars. The Flyers are coming off four days’ rest so they should be very fresh and have no trouble generating offense against a team that’s allowing the most goals per game.
Darren Raddysh, D, TB vs. EDM (2% rostered)
If Victor Hedman remains unavailable, Raddysh will continue to quarterback PP1. He had his best game of the season Tuesday against the Devils, playing over 24 minutes and scoring a goal and two assists with two of those points coming on the power play. The Oilers are playing the second game of a back-to-back with travel from D.C., and their defense and goaltending remains dire with 21 goals allowed in five games so far during their seven-game road trip.
