Unearth hidden gems such as Connor McMichael and Matt Savoie to boost your fantasy roster. Strike gold with these low-rostered forwards poised for big performances.

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Connor McMichael, C/LW, WSH at TOR (12% rostered) - FanDuel $4,900

McMichael has always performed well in his own backyard, scoring three points in two games against the Leafs this season and six points in nine games for his career. No doubt the Leafs are in a fragile state with poor defense and goaltending, and McMichael will be playing on an intriguing scoring line with veteran Pierre-Luc Dubois at center and the very promising Ryan Leonard on the other wing. McMichael is averaging 17 minutes in his past six games, during which he’s scored two goals and five assists.

Matt Savoie, C/RW, EDM at SJ (8% rostered) - FanDuel $4,500

The big thing for Savoie is minutes, and he gets plenty playing alongside Connor McDavid. He entered Tuesday’s game against the Mammoth with four goals and an assist in his previous six games, and now faces a team that’s been porous defensively and in net.

Igor Chernyshov, LW/RW, SJ vs. EDM (2% rostered) - FanDuel $4,500

It’s been a quiet stretch for Chernyshov with zero points in his past four games, but he’s maintained his spot on the top line, and that’s encouraging. The Oilers’ defensive struggles are well-documented, and the Sharks have scored 11 goals in their past three meetings against them this season. This will be Chernyshov’s first time playing against them, and it should be filled with scoring opportunities.
