Uncover hidden gems like Matt Duchene and capitalize on Predators' offensive resurgence. Find your next waiver wire advantage and boost your fantasy lineup.

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Paul Cotter, LW, NJ vs. ANA (0% rostered) - FanDuel $3,500

The absences of both Arseny Gritsyuk (injury) and Timo Meier (personal) might lead to more playing time for Cotter, who scored two points against the Lightning and played 14:04, the most this month. The bruising winger has proven he can score, and playing L2 with Dawson Mercer and PP2 gives him an opportunity to score.

Thomas Novak, C, PIT vs. SJ (1% rostered) - FanDuel $4,600

The big trade with the Oilers left the Pens’ forwards untouched, which means Novak will stay on L1 with Sidney Crosby to see if he can extend his points streak to five games. The Sharks are allowing the 11th-most goals per game on the road.

Collin Graf, RW, SJ at PIT (1% rostered) - FanDuel $4,100

The Pens can be a tough defensive team and the Sharks don’t score nearly as much on the road as they do at home, but Graf has value playing L1. The Pens may debut their newest goalie in Stuart Skinner, who’s struggled all season. Graf recently just had three-game goals streak snapped but registered a season-high four shots.

Braeden Bowman, RW, VGK at CBJ (5% rostered) - FanDuel n/a

The minutes have declined and so has the production, but Bowman hasn’t fallen off the map completely yet. He has an assist in each of his past two games with the Knights capping off a five-game road trip against a team that’s lost four in a row and having trouble keeping pucks out of their net. The Knights should have no problems scoring goals in this game.

    Jean-Gabriel Pageau, C/RW, NYI vs. TB (10% rostered) - FanDuel $4,900

Pageau is not a compelling offensive player – 13 points in 24 games – but he will get top-six opportunities with Bo Horvat expected to miss this game. Pageau will likely skate with Anders Lee and Maxim Shabanov on the second line, though he’s not expected to play on the PP. The Lightning are expected to start backup Jonas Johansson with Andrei Vasilevskiy injured.

Steven Stamkos, C/LW/RW, NSH at COL (40% rostered) - FanDuel $5,000
Luke Evangelista, RW, NSH at COL (6% rostered) - FanDuel $5,000

Difficult matchup but Evangelista has been one of the league’s hottest players with five assists in his past three games and 13 points in his past nine games. Part of the reason has been Steven Stamko’s scoring touch with a four-goal effort against the Blues and suddenly look a lot more like his former self. He’s also scored a goal in five of their past eight games. While this matchup seems lopsided, the Preds managed to keep things close last game and may do so again.

Matt Duchene, C/RW, DAL vs. FLA (51% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800

Keep an eye on Roope Hintz, who suffered an apparent foot injury in their previous game. If Hintz cannot play, look for Duchene to move up the lineup and play increased minutes as he recovers from a concussion. The veteran forward has played just seven games this season with zero points in three games since returning to the lineup, but based on his past history can still be a capable scorer. Duchene can slot in as a center or winger in the top six and move up to PP1.
