On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Dawson Mercer, C/RW, NJ vs. DAL (59% rostered) –
FanDuel $5,800
Arseny Gritsyuk, LW/RW, NJ vs. DAL (3% rostered) – FanDuel $4,700
There’s an opportunity for a line stack here even with a tough matchup against Jake Oettinger. Mercer is on a three-game points streak playing as their 2C, while Gritsyuk has three points in his past three games. Mercer has added value playing PP1, and both players provide a high floor with good shooting volume, averaging over two shots per game each.
Chris Kreider, LW, ANA vs. UTA (45% rostered) –
FanDuel $6,200
Beckett Sennecke, RW, ANA vs. UTA (31% rostered) – FanDuel $5,200
Another line stack with the high-flying Ducks facing a Mammoth team that’s collapsing with eight losses in their past 10 games, and 15 goals allowed in their past four games. Sennecke’s on a eight-game points streak while Kreider’s on a four-game run of his own, though Kreider is the slightly stronger play because he gets more ice time and scores more goals.
Josh Norris, C, BUF at PHI (25% rostered) – FanDuel $3,500
Zach Benson, LW, BUF at PHI (9% rostered) – FanDuel $5,300
When healthy, Norris is an impact player and it showed in his return with two goals and three points against the Jets. There’s a line stack opportunity here with Benson, and along with Tage Thompson all play on PP1. The Sabres have not been good on the road but they seem to have turned it around lately with six wins in their past nine games, and the Flyers have conceded at least three goals in seven of their past nine games.
Jamie Benn, C/LW, DAL at NJ (25% rostered) – FanDuel $5,100
Benn posted zeroes across the board last night against the Rangers but I like the setup with the potential for increased minutes following Tyler Seguin’s injury. After Seguin left the game, the Stars played Benn with Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz, and the trio led the Stars in 5-on-5 TOI with 6:28. That line fared better than Wyatt Johnston and Mikko Rantanen’s line with Sam Steel, who took Benn’s spot after he moved to Robertson’s line, and slightly better when Benn played with Johnston and Rantanen.
