On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Patrick Kane, RW, DET vs. PIT (41% rostered) - FanDuel $6,200
We’ll give Kane a pass following a six-game absence, but in his third game back registered an assist and four shots in Pittsburgh. Kane continues to be a point-per-game threat and slated to play L2 and PP1 with Alex DeBrincat.
Elias Lindholm, C, BOS at VAN (30% rostered) - FanDuel $5,900
The Canucks are going to be very thin down the middle once again with Marco Rossi expected to be out for a week. Lindholm is coming off a two-point effort in Edmonton and faces his former team. The Canucks are expected to start backup Kevin Lankinen, who has not been nearly as good this season as he was last season.
Jack Roslovic, C/RW, EDM vs. PHI (16% rostered) - FanDuel $5,900
Before Roslovic was hurt, he was scoring at a 30-goal pace. He was quiet in the three games following his return, but he’s now scored a goal in each of his past two games playing alongside Leon Draisaitl. This bodes well for Roslovic’s fantasy value in both DFS games and standard leagues for a potential longer-term hold.
Lawson Crouse, LW/RW, UTA at NJ (8% rostered) - FanDuel $4,100
Crouse has four points in his past four games, including two assists on Long Island on Thursday. Linemate Dylan Guenther was red-hot with a hat trick, and we’re riding that hot streak with Crouse. Barrett Hayton is the center on this line, which could make for an intriguing line stack. Crouse and Hayton will also play together on PP2.
Oliver Kapanen, C, MTL at STL (6% rostered) - FanDuel $5,000
The Habs are facing a potentially tired team with the Blues playing the second game of a back-to-back matinee. Kapanen has five points in his past six games flanked by quality wingers Juraj Slafkovsky and the red-hot Ivan Demidov, who’s on a five-game points streak. Kapanen doesn’t have any power play upside but should have a distinct advantage at even strength regardless.
