On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Patrick Kane, RW, DET vs. VAN (38% rostered) - FanDuel $5,900
A bit of a quiet stretch for Kane with only one assist in five games, but hopefully the two days’ rest gives him a bit of a boost. The Canucks are struggling defensively with very poor special teams, which is incidentally where Kane thrives the most. He’s scored nine of his 24 points on the power play this season.
Jared McCann, C/LW, SEA vs. MIN (31% rostered) - FanDuel $6,300
McCann has been featured regularly in this space since returning from injury and he’s finally starting to draw some attention with a five-game points streak. The Kraken spread out their ice time but McCann continues to be their best scorer. He offers good shot volume and PP1 upside despite a tough matchup.
Elias Lindholm, C, BOS vs. CGY (30% rostered) - FanDuel $5,900
Lindholm faces his former team and carries a modes three-game points streak into the matchup. The Flames aren’t particularly deep at center, which should give Lindholm and the Bruins the matchup advantage on home ice.
Anthony Mantha, LW/RW, PIT vs. NJ (23% rostered) - FanDuel $5,600
The Devils are a wounded animal after a 9-0 loss to the Isles on Tuesday, and while they may bounce back with a stronger effort, they’ve been very underwhelming since the first month of the season. Mantha has a terrific shot, which does not bode well for the Devils’ leaky defense, and he’s scored four goals and three assists in his past six games. Mantha is slated to play PP1 and form a speedy line with Tommy Novak on L3.
Josh Doan, LW/RW, BUF at NYR (19% rostered) - FanDuel $5,600
Doan’s on a three-game goal streak and faces a Rangers squad without Adam Fox and Igor Shesterkin. The Sabres offense hasn’t exactly blown the doors of their opponents during their 11-1-0 run, but they’ve been able to score at least three goals on a very consistent basis. Doan has been a fixture next to top center Tage Thompson on L1 and PP1.
Jake DeBrusk, LW/RW, VAN at DET (18% rostered) - FanDuel $5,200
DeBrusk has responded with two goals and four points in four games since being healthy scratched, and the streaky scorer looks like he’s got the hot hand once again. The Canucks offense can be very anemic despite its best efforts, though DeBrusk is in a good position to score points playing L1 and PP1 with top center Elias Pettersson.
