On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Charlie Coyle, C/RW, CBJ vs. NYR (42% rostered) – FanDuel $5,900
Not sure what’s gotten into Coyle this season but he’s playing his best hockey ever, coming off a four-point game against the Canes with 55 points in 67 games on the season. The Rangers have been regularly outplayed and outshot despite winning games, but they’re facing a team with a ton of momentum right now. Coyle will center what seems like a low-upside L3 with Cole Sillinger and Mathieu Olivier, but it hasn’t stopped him from scoring points all season.
Bobby McMann, LW, SEA at NSH (34% rostered) – FanDuel $5,000
McMann’s scored a goal in every game so far as a Kraken and why jump off the train while it’s still going strong. He’ll play L1 with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle, and PP2 with Shane Wright and Kaapo Kakko. McMann has four goals, six points and 10 shots in three games with his new club.
Frank Nazar, C, CHI at MIN (17% rostered) – FanDuel $5,100
It’s a potential encore for Nazar, who scored a goal and an assist in his previous game against the Wild. He’s been fantastic lately scoring at least a point in six of his past seven games and averaging over 18 minutes per game.
Gage Goncalves, C/LW, TB at VAN (7% rostered) – FanDuel $3,900
The Lightning have generally had little trouble dispatching the Canucks and there’s little reason to think why this game will be different. Goncalves’ ice time fluctuates depending on game flow but he’s expected to play L2 with Brayden Point and Jake Guentzel, with a good chance to extend his points streak to five games against the NHL’s worst team.
Fraser Minten, C, BOS vs. WPG (7% rostered) – FanDuel $4,500
Minten’s been centering David Pastrnak and while he hasn’t produced any points and faces a tough goalie in Connor Hellebuyck, you’re hoping that the Bruins getting last change on home ice gives them an advantage when it comes to matchups. It doesn’t look like the Bruins will move off Minten as their 1C, and at least he’s still getting the minutes and shots on goal. It just feels like he’s a little snakebit lately, scoring zero goals despite putting 23 shots on net.
Calum Ritchie, C/RW, NYI at OTT (1% rostered) – FanDuel $4,400
Ritchie’s coming off his second multi-point game in his past four games playing L3 with Jean-Gabriel Pageau but PP1 with Bo Horvat and Mathew Barzal. The Sens are expected to start backup James Reimer and playing the second half of a back-to-back.
