On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Chris Kreider, LW, ANA at COL (44% rostered) – FanDuel $6,900
The Avs defense has been very stingy but I think that’s more a symptom of their dominant offense and puck possession. The only team better than the Avs on offense so far this season has been the Ducks, so I’m confident they can put some goals on the board. Kreider has been a menace on L1 and opened space for the Ducks offense to operate. Kreider has five goals and seven points in his past six games.
Cole Perfetti, C/LW/RW, WPG at VAN (40% rostered) – FanDuel n/a
Perfetti returned Sunday and did not score a point, but did play 17:59 on L2 and PP1. The Canucks are not a good defensive team and often rely on their goaltending to cover up their deficiencies. Perfetti has a good chance to score his first point of the season. Note Perfetti is not available in FanDuel DFS games at the moment but worth streaming and perhaps keeping long term in standard leagues.
Marcus Johansson, LW, MIN vs. SJ (25% rostered) – FanDuel $5,300
Johansson’s points streak is now at nine games despite declining ice time and dropping to L2 and away from Kirill Kaprizov. However, this could be a high-scoring game because the Sharks like turning their games into track meets.
Jake DeBrusk, LW/RW, VAN vs. WPG (22% rostered) – FanDuel $5,000
DeBrusk can score goals and he does it in bunches. He’s scored three in his past four in the midst of a hot streak. Unfortunately, the Canucks have always had a hard time beating Connor Hellebuyck. Though DeBrusk is currently on L3, he’s playing PP1 with the Canucks’ top guns.
Nicholas Robertson, RW, TOR at BOS (4% rostered) – FanDuel $4,600
Robertson has eight points in his past eight games, and despite the Leafs’ recent two-game slide, at least they’re not having trouble scoring goals. Robertson has been a pretty good fit on L2 with John Tavares, and he’s their best shooter on PP2 with two playmakers in Max Domi and Mattias Maccelli setting him up. The Bruins have allowed the 10th-most goals per game in the league.
