On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson, D, TOR vs. STL (38% rostered) – FanDuel $5,100
While the Leafs have struggled as a team, Ekman-Larsson definitely hasn’t. He’s scored a goal and five assists in his past seven games, and with each power-play point further cements himself as the PP1 QB. The Blues and Leafs are two of the worst defensive teams in the league and this could be a high-scoring matchup.
Simon Nemec, D, NJ at TB (25% rostered) – FanDuel $5,600
I doubt we will see another hat trick from Nemec anytime soon, but it’s hard to deny how much of an impact he’s made. The Devils clearly see it, too, with Nemec averaging over 24 minutes in his past four games. Even if Nemec doesn’t score goals, he’s been a very reliable shot blocker. The Devils and Lightning have had some very high-scoring games lately, averaging over seven goals per game in their past 15 meetings.
Artyom Levshunov, D, CHI vs. CGY (24% rostered) – FanDuel $4,300
The key for Levshunov is his value on PP1 where he’s scored four of his five points in his past five games. His ice time is limited and often plays less than 20 minutes because the Hawks dress seven defensemen quite regularly, but this is a great matchup against arguably the worst team in the league.
