On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Patrick Kane, RW, DET vs. SEA (40% rostered) – FanDuel $6,000
There’s so much young talent in the league we kind of forget about the previous generation and just how dominant they can still be. Kane’s scored four points in his past three games and scoring at a 73-point pace this season and providing ample shot volume. The Kraken can be tough defensively but they’re potentially down to one healthy goalie in Philipp Grubauer with Joey Daccord on IR and Matt Murray injured.
Tyler Seguin, C/RW, DAL vs. NYI (22% rostered) – FanDuel $4,700
Playing on a line with Jason Robertson certainly helps and Seguin has scored four of his seven goals this season in his past six games. These aren’t your usual grind-it-out Isles anymore, so I expect this game to be a little more open than in the past, and the Stars offense has shined with 22 goals during their five-game winning streak.
Jordan Eberle, RW, SEA at DET (14% rostered) – FanDuel $5,600
What gives Eberle a lot of value is his shot volume, ranking first on the Kraken in shots and third in TOI/GP behind linemate Matty Beniers and matchup center Chandler Stephenson. Eberle clearly has the most offensive upside of the three right now and the Kraken have had a much easier time scoring lately with nine goals in two games.
Nick Robertson, RW, TOR vs. STL (4% rostered) – FanDuel $4,900
The Leafs’ forwards are even more banged up with Nic Roy not available, which means they will have to lean heavily on L1 with Robertson and John Tavares and William Nylander again. After scoring just one assist in his first seven games of the season, Robertson has been quite consistent, scoring at least a point in eight of his past 11 games.
Arseny Gritsyuk, RW, NJ at TB (2% rostered) – FanDuel $4,700
The injuries to Evgenii Dadonov, Jack Hughes and Cody Glass have forced the Devils to move up players into the top six and Gritsyuk finds himself on L1 with Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt. This is a great spot for Gritsyuk, an offensively gifted player who’s not afraid to shoot the puck and recently been rewarded with three points in four games.
