On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Josh Doan, LW/RW, BUF vs. UTA (14% rostered) – FanDuel $5,500
Jason Zucker has an illness and Jiri Kulich has an undisclosed injury, and both are doubtful for Tuesday’s game. That means the Sabres will be shorthanded, likely playing just 11 forwards, with Doan likely in line to get more minutes. Doan is on a three-game points streak while Utah has faltered a little bit with 10 goals allowed in their past two games.
Trevor Zegras, C/LW, PHI at MTL (55% rostered) – FanDuel $5,700
Zegras’ play has really picked up and he’s slated to play L1 with Sean Couturier and Travis Konecny, while averaging around 19 minutes per game. He’s scoring at the highest pace of his career so far this season, though the Habs can be a tough matchup. Still, given the offensive potential and the increased shot volume, Zegras should be a solid play.
Troy Terry, RW, ANA vs. FLA (44% rostered) – FanDuel $6,400
Chris Kreider, LW, ANA vs. FLA (34% rostered) – FanDuel $6,400
It’s tough to score on the Panthers but this Ducks team is built different and their offense has been very good, averaging the fourth-highest goals per game in the league. Terry and Kreider flank Leo Carlsson on the top line and on PP1 for a line stack opportunity in DFS games. Terry has 10 points in his past seven games while Kreider has scored a goal in each of his past two games since returning to the lineup.
Anthony Cirelli, C, TB at COL (39% rostered) – FanDuel $6,200
This matchup should feature plenty of scoring opportunities going back and forth. I’ve been impressed with Cirelli’s offense so far; his career-high 59 points last season was clearly no fluke, and it’s very probably that he does it again this season. Cirelli has four goals and seven points in his past five games and plays with Jake Guentzel at even strength.
Pavel Zacha, C/LW, BOS at NYI (34% rostered) – FanDuel $5,300
Zacha should be one of the biggest beneficiaries with Elias Lindholm out of the lineup. The ice time hasn’t ticked up, but I think it should in due time, and he’s on a three-game points streak. Zacha doesn’t shoot often, but he’ll be sharing the ice with the Bruins’ top players, including David Pastrnak on PP1. The risk is the Isles’ goaltending and defense has been very stingy lately.
Marco Rossi, C, MIN vs. NSH (29% rostered) – FanDuel $6,100
Marcus Johansson, LW, MIN vs. NSH (5% rostered) – FanDuel $5,000
This is a potentially fantastic value line stack in DFS games. Both Johansson and Rossi, who’s scoring at a point-per-game pace, are on five-game points streak and slated to play L1 with Kirill Kaprizov. It’s a line with a lot of high-end offensive talent, and the Preds are playing the second game of a back-to-back with backup Justus Annunen expected to start.
Emil Heineman, LW/RW, NYI vs. BOS (25% rostered) – FanDuel $5,000
Mathew Barzal has moved up to L1 as Bo Horvat’s right winger with Heineman occupying the opposite wing. This is a great fit for Heineman, who’s not afraid to shoot the puck and opens up space with his physical play. He could be the biggest beneficiary with the Isles stacking their most potent scoring duo, and also plays some PP2 for additional value.
Jack Roslovic, C/RW, EDM at DAL (11% rostered) – FanDuel $4,100
So much of the Oilers’ lines depends on game flow, but Roslovic has been a steady presence in the top six lately with ice times of 18:20, 19:00 and a season-high 22:52 heading into Monday’s game. A power-play goal against the Blues gives him a point in four of his past five games. The Stars are expected to start Casey DeSmith, who has struggled a little bit in limited action this season, with Jake Oettinger missing the game for personal reasons.
