Gamble on Joel Hofer as the reeling Ducks, playing tired, host the Blues. He’s a strong streaming option facing a struggling opponent.

Not an ideal matchup or streaming option if you’re looking for a low goals-against average, but we have to make do with what few options are available for Friday’s two-game slate. This will be the Ducks’ fourth game in seven days with travel, and they’ve gotten into the habit of losing games late, blowing a two-goal lead against the Leafs and losing in OT, and then allowing two goals in 1:08 late in the third period against the Sharks.
The Ducks come into this matchup losers of three straight. The Blues haven’t fared much better with two straight losses, but other than Hofer’s previous start against the Sharks where he allowed five goals on 29 shots (.828 SP), he’s been very good since the Olympic break. If Ville Husso gets the start with the Ducks playing the first game of a back-to-back, Hofer certainly has the edge.
