Goalies
Brandon Bussi, CAR at NSH (51% rostered) - FanDuel $7,800
With two days off and facing one of the worst teams in the league that they had already beaten 6-3 on Dec. 6 with Bussi in net, he has a good chance to extend his winning streak to 10 games. Bussi is currently the Canes’ best option in net and looking to push their winning streak to five games. The Preds offense has come alive recently, which should bring some pause, but the Canes are the far superior team and should be one of the safer best of the night.
Carter Hart, VGK vs. NJ (39% rostered) - FanDuel $7,900
With four starts in their past six games and (generally) playing quite well, I think there’s a good chance we see Hart start taking more of the starts and serve as the Knights’ 1A option. There’s still no timetable for Adin Hill’s return, which means there could be some longer-term value for Hart.
The Devils are struggling right now with seven losses in their past nine games and having a lot of trouble scoring. Their goaltending has been good but it’s been really inconsistent, and they’re trending in the opposite direction of the Knights who have won six of their past seven with their only loss coming in a shootout.
Cam Talbot, DET vs. UTA (15% rostered) - FanDuel $7,500
The Mammoth are 8-14-3 since their terrific start with eight losses in their past 12 games. They’ve also lost their top center to injury and they’re not good on the road (8-11-2), and this is a good setup for the Wings to take this game. Both teams are playing back-to-back but the Mammoth will be travelling. While Talbot has not been sharp and losing a lot of playing time to John Gibson – he has not won since Nov. 22 against the Jackets – this is potentially a great spot for him to get back on track.
