Goalies
Thomas Milic, WPG at MTL (1% rostered) – FanDuel n/a
There’s a part of me that has a sneaky suspicion the Jets will go with Milic and then go back to Eric Comrie at home for a revenge game against the Sabres. Milic came in relief for Comrie in their previous game, and a start against the Habs would be his third appearance in four games. I think the Habs are tough and the Jets are not playing well, but I think Milic is a better option than Comrie right now and he’ll get a chance to rack up the saves. A win would be a nice surprise, but what you’re more likely to get is plenty of saves.
Ville Husso, ANA vs. UTA (10% rostered) – FanDuel $7,100
Husso allowed just one goal against the Blues in a 4-1 win, facing little pressure in a game where the Ducks got out to an early lead and kept the opposition’s shots to a minimum. This should be a much tougher test but the Mammoth have really been struggling, losing four straight and 11 of their last 14, and also having some trouble scoring. I’m more confident in the Ducks’ ability to provide good goal support than Husso’s ability to stop pucks, and among the recommended goalies for streaming likely has the best chance of earning a win.
Dan Vladar, PHI vs. BUF (50% rostered) – FanDuel $7,600
Vladar gets a chance to bounce back after a 5-1 loss to the rival Pens, though the loss shouldn’t be pinned on him; the Flyers allowed three goals on the power play and provided little goal support. This is a good matchup on paper for the Flyers because the Sabres are 2-6-2 on the road – they’ve been playing better, though – and Vladar has been pretty solid all season. I thik a realistic outcome is a win for the Flyers and a modest save percentage for Vladar.
