Goalies

Jakub Dobes, MTL vs. TB (35% rostered) - FanDuel $7,600

Dobes was tagged with the loss against the Blues but will likely draw his fourth straight start with Sam Montembeault battling an illness. The Lightning are playing the second game of a back-to-back and their offense has gone quiet, having been blanked in two straight games. With Andrei Vasilevskiy on the shelf for the Lightning, Dobes only has to outplay the goalie at the other end of the ice, which may be third-string Brandon Halverson. This could end up being a high-scoring game if the Lightning offense finds its rhythm, but Dobes and the Habs still have a good chance of winning.

Akira Schmid, VGK at NYI (47% rostered) - FanDuel $7,700

Schmid will be tasked with extending the Knights’ winning streak to five games, and they’ve been very good on the road with a 7-2-4 record while the Isles have been middling at home going 7-6-2. The Isles can be a tough matchup but the Knights hold the edge in nearly every respect expect goaltending. Schmid is coming off a 24-save shutout performance and vying for more starts against Carter Hart, so there’s plenty of reason to put in another strong performance here.

Tristan Jarry, PIT vs. ANA (52% rostered) - FanDuel $7,600

A scary matchup because the Ducks offense is legitimately really good, but we’re balancing that with some excellent play from Jarry. He’s been one of the biggest surprises this season with a .913 SP on the season and he’s won four of his past six games. This is admittedly a dice roll, but the potential payoff – a win, plenty of saves and a solid save percentage – could be worthwhile.

Jeremy Swayman, BOS at STL (92% rostered) - FanDuel $7,300

No doubt Swayman is rostered in virtually all leagues, but I do think it's worth mentioning him as a potential value play in DFS games. This is a good matchup for the Bruins and Swayman has been very good this season with 12 wins in 19 starts and a .913 SP. If you're looking for a surer bet than the other goalies on this list for DFS plays, Swayman is a good option.
