Goalies
Akira Schmid, VGK at WSH (30% rostered) - FanDuel $7,600
There should be plenty of motivation for Schmid because a strong performance could mean winning the starting job after Adin Hill allowed four goals on 19 shots. This will be a tough matchup because the Caps can be really stingy on defense, but the Knights are expected to have Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin back in the lineup after giving their two Olympic gold medallists a little more rest. I like this matchup for Schmid, who should get the win, and potentially put in a fine performance with plenty of saves.
Jesper Wallstedt, MIN at UTA (60% rostered) - FanDuel $8,100
I’m not enamored by this matchup because the Mammoth are hard to beat at home and the Wild are playing the second game of a back-to-back after facing the Avs yesterday. However, the Wild still definitely have the edge in this matchup, and Wallstedt has been consistently good this season, outplaying a lot of starters on other teams. The upside in this streaming option is a win and plenty of saves.
