Frederik Andersen, CAR at EDM (29% rostered) - FanDuel $7,900
Certainly a terrifying matchup, but if the Canes can control puck possession – as they usually do – they should be able to limit the chances Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl generate. The Canes are the vasty superior team with only one regulation loss since Jan. 3, and they’ve done a really good job of limiting their opponents to 2.48 goals per game, third-best in the league. Andersen has been shaky all season but seems to have turned a corner leading up to the Olympics with a 2-1-2 record and .913 SP since Jan. 17, a superior number to Brandon Bussi’s .898 SP.
Joel Hofer, STL at SJ (20% rostered) - FanDuel $6,900
The Blues defense remains intact after Colton Parayko nixed a trade to the Sabres, and it’s likely Joel Hofer’s net going forward since Jordan Binnington is rumored to be on the move. The timing couldn’t be any better; Binnington’s trade value likely increased after a fine performance at the Olympics, and Hofer’s won three straight with only four goals allowed. The Sharks offense is explosive, but the Blues have also done a good job limiting their goals against lately. Should Hofer be able to maintain his momentum, he should offer saves, a good save percentage with an outside chance of stealing a win.
