Goalies
Juuse Saros, NSH vs. CGY (91% rostered) – FanDuel $7,500
Past Flames-Preds matchups have featured relatively few goals, and Saros’ play has been one of the brighter spots for the Preds this season. He has a career .920 SP against the Flames, who are having trouble scoring and have one of the league’s worst power plays. The danger for Saros in this matchup is the Preds’ inability to provide goal support.
Sergei Bobrovsky, FLA vs. DAL (99% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400
Bobrovsky has an incredible 19-2-2 career record against the Stars and he’s facing them at an opportune time; the Stars have scored three goals or less in eight straight games. Both teams can be very good defensively, so it’s very possible this is a low-scoring grind. I like the value proposition for Bobrovsky in DFS games.
Jet Greaves, CBJ vs. STL (32% rostered) – FanDuel $7,800
Greaves allowed five goals against the Caps but bounced back with a strong outing with 35 saves in a 4-3 win against the Sabres. The Blues offense isn’t as dangerous without top center Robert Thomas, and the Jackets offense should be able to provide good goal support. Greaves should be rostered in standard leagues since he’s been consistently good this season with a .917 SP or higher in four of his five games.
Thatcher Demko, VAN at MIN (90% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400
Based on goals saved above average, Demko has been the league’s best goalie this season, per naturalstattrick.com. The Wild offense can be dangerous, but they’ve been very inconsistent and their power play has really slacked since the beginning of the season.
At the very least, Demko should be able to provide plenty of saves with a good opportunity to steal this game. Demko has surprisingly never beaten the Wild in his career (0-3-2) but take that with a grain of salt; he has not faced them since the 2022-23 season when he was 0-1-1 with a .918 SP, and he’s a better goalie now than he was that season.
