Connor Hellebuyck, WPG at SEA (100% rostered) – FanDuel $7,600
The Kraken can’t score and the Jets recently snapped a three-game losing streak in Vancouver. Hellebuyck has generally fared well against the Kraken in his career with a .916 SP and 2.12 GAA. The goals against should be low and a win should be easily attainable. It’s a pretty good return for an inexpensive salary relative to Hellebuyck’s ability.
Darcy Kuemper, LA at TOR (93% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400
Kuemper’s on a roll with three straight wins and only three goals allowed, and the Leafs may have some big pieces missing with Auston Matthews and Anthony Stolarz leaving Tuesday’s game due to injury. Kuemper’s career numbers against the Leafs have not been good, but in his lone appearance against them last season allowed just two goals on 25 shots (.920 SP) in a losing effort. The Kings should have the advantage in this matchup despite being on the road.
Lukas Dostal, ANA at DET (84% rostered) – FanDuel $7,200
Despite the loss to the Avs to snap their seven-game winning streak, Dostal was still excellent with a .914 SP. Given how much goal support the Ducks have provided Dostal this season, they should have no problems scoring on their former starter, who hasn’t fared much better with his new club. The Wings have lost four of their past five, and cannot seem to score with two goals or less in regulation in all five games. Should Dostal rest in favor of Petr Mrazek, this matchup becomes a far less appetizing play, though the Ducks still have the edge.
Yaroslav Askarov, SJ at CGY (35% rostered) – FanDuel $7,000
Askarov has been excellent in his past four games allowing only five goals during that span, and no team is more offensively inept right now than the Flames, averaging just 2.06 goals per game. The Sharks, meanwhile, have one of the league’s best scorers in Macklin Celebrini and won six of their past seven. Should Alex Nedeljkovic return, who was a late scratch due to a personal issue Tuesday in Minnesota, he’s also a strong streaming/DFS play.
