On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.

Igor Shesterkin, NYR at Cam Talbot, DET (7 p.m. ET)

Jesper Wallstedt, MIN at David Rittich, NYI* (7 p.m. ET)

Spencer Knight, CHI at Dustin Wolf, CGY (9 p.m. ET)

Connor Hellebuyck, WPG at Alex Nedeljkovic, SJ (10 p.m. ET)

    Goalies

Spencer Knight, CHI at CGY (67% rostered) – FanDuel $7,600

It certainly feels like the Flames have turned a corner with two straight wins and outscoring their opponents 7-2, but I think the Blackhawks are still the superior team. Knight was excellent in his previous start with 43 saves on 45 shots (.956 SP) against the Canucks. He faced the Flames just once last season but historically has been very good against the Pacific Division, sporting a career .922 SP against them.

Cam Talbot, DET vs. NYR (20% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400

Talbot can go for his third straight win and maybe get the inside track on the starting job for more long-term value in standard leagues. The Rangers can’t score at home and they’ve just average on the road, ranking 14th in goals for per game. Both teams should be well-rested with two days’ rest, but the Wings have less travel having just concluded a five-game road trip while the Rangers are playing their fifth road game in their past six games. Given the limited number of options, I think Talbot could be a good value play in DFS games, too.

David Rittich, NYI vs. MIN (3% rostered) – FanDuel $7,500

The Wild are playing the second game of a back-to-back and expected to start backup Jesper Wallstedt, which means Rittich just has to outlast the inexperienced young goalie with a career .872 SP. The Wild offense is to be feared, but over the past week the Isles defense has been pretty good. Fatigue is a concern here, though the Isles are coming off two days’ rest after playing five games in eight days. According to FanDuel’s Sportsbook, the Isles are the favorites as of Thursday evening.
