No goalies are available when it’s a single-game slate for FanDuel, but I like the Caps’ game more than the Rangers’ right now, though a 6-1 win against the Pens on Saturday was a great revenge game. Jonathan Quick is expected to start for the Rangers in a battle of backups, and he was not good last season – 3.17 GAA, .893 SP – and he’s only getting older.
Lindgren also struggled – 2.73 GAA, .894 SP – and he’s more of a backup than a 1B option behind Logan Thompson right now, but I think he’s playing behind a better team with a higher potential to bounce back. Lindgren won his lone start against the Rangers last season (3-2 OTW in early March, 15 of 17 saves) and 3-1-0 with a .943 SP and 1.48 GAA overall against them in his career.
