I think this is good value for DFS games for a goalie of Shesterkin’s caliber. He’s coming off a poor performance with six goals allowed against the Sharks, but in many of those occasions had very little help. The Flames offense nearly as explosive, and they’ve been having trouble scoring goals of their own while mired in an eight-game losing streak. Shesterkin doesn’t have a good career record against the Flames (2-4-0) but that’s been in spite of his quality goaltending against them (.920 SP, 2.87 GAA).
Casey DeSmith, DAL at NSH (5% rostered) – FanDuel $7,500
The Stars made an emphatic stop to their four-game losing streak with a win against the Hurricanes, and DeSmith now draws the net to keep the momentum going. The Stars had to grind back from 2-0 deficit and it bodes well for this matchup against the Preds, who are also playing the second game of a back-to-back but only narrowly defeated the Kings in a shootout in a game that saw multiple lead changes. The Stars should pose a stiffer challenge and DeSmith should also improve on his season debut where he allowed five goals on 26 shots against the Canucks.
