Andrei Vasilevskiy, TB at NSH (100% rostered) – FanDuel $7,800
The Lightning seem to be building some momentum. Vasilevskiy earned his first win and the Lightning won consecutive games for the first time this season. They have a good chance to keep the streak going against a thin Preds defense that’s missing captain Roman Josi, and historically the Lightning have dominated this matchup since the 2019-20 season, going 14-3-1 with a 2.50 GA/GP.
Thatcher Demko, VAN vs. NYR (89% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400
I like the value and I like the matchup against a team that’s still having trouble generating offensive consistently. Demko has been very strong at home throughout his entire career and has also never lost to the Rangers in three career appearances with a sparkling .930 SP and 2.31 GAA.
Joey Daccord, SEA vs. MTL (77% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400
Daccord has had a couple bad games but he’s been very good overall this season, and he has a chance to earn his third straight win. Daccord has generally been better at home than on the road throughout his career, and so far this season has been perfect at Climate Pledge Arena with only four goals allowed on 96 shots (.958 SP) and a miniscule 1.30 GAA. Both teams are coming off two days’ rest but the Habs are playing their fourth road game in seven days.
Karel Vejmelka, UTA at EDM (77% rostered) – FanDuel $7,000
No doubt this is a risky play because, y’know, Connor McDavid, but the Mammoth have become an unstoppable force with seven straight wins. The Oilers are suddenly having some trouble scoring on a consistent basis while the Mammoth have arguably been the league’s most dangerous team, and now face a team with very poor goaltending. I like the value proposition, and at least Vejmelka has a chance to make a lot of saves even if he ends up getting tagged with a loss.
