    Goalies

Thatcher Demko, VAN vs. CGY (84% rostered) – FanDuel $6,600

My favorite value play of the night. (No bias). It seems like the market is way too low on the Canucks, who face the Flames playing the second game of a back-to-back and likely starting Devin Cooley, who did not play a minute in the NHL last season and had a rough preseason. Demko is an elite, Vezina-level goalie when healthy, and all indications are he’s ready to go. The Canucks have won five of their past seven meetings.

Jet Greaves, CBJ at NSH (37% rostered) – FanDuel $7,100

Dean Evason wouldn’t name his starter after Wednesday’s skate but it could be Greaves, who was excellent late last season and whom everyone expects to take over from Elvis Merzlikins at some point. The Jackets and Preds are headed in opposite directions, and no doubt I like the Jackets’ odds much better. Greaves is not without risk, however, given his small sample size.

Arturs Silovs, PIT vs. NYI (18% rostered) – FanDuel $6,900

Run. It. Back. After shutting out the Rangers in his Pens debut, Silovs is setting up to be yet another strong value play and gaining momentum in fantasy leagues. Pens-Isles matchups tend to be spicy (ie. lots of goals and PIM) and the Isles have won five of their past six meetings, so there’s definitely some risk here.

Daniil Tarasov, FLA vs. PHI (2% rostered) – FanDuel $7,800

Definitely more of a streaming play than a value play on DFS. With another home game on Saturday and keeping their long-term three-peat goal in mind, I have a feeling the Panthers will give Tarasov a shot against what should be a pretty easy opponent. Tarasov has a career .923 SP and 2.54 GAA in three career games against the Flyers.

Joonas Korpisalo, BOS vs. CHI (2% rostered) – FanDuel $7,200

Compared to Tarasov, Korpisalo is the better value play. I think the Bruins were a little lucky to escape with a win against the Caps last night, but still they're the favored team against the Hawks. This could also be a battle of the backups, so if the Hawks start Arvid Soderblom, the Bruins’ goal support might be better than usual.
