The much-maligned Jonathan Drouin signed with the Avalanche in the off-season and re-united with his former Halifax Mooseheads teammate Nathan MacKinnon. It was an attempt to rebuild Drouin's value and get his career back on track after a string of disappointments.
With the Avs' lack of depth, and after a period where Drouin played bottom-six minutes, he's now in the top six and averaging well over 21 minutes per game. He's on track to play more games and score more points than he ever has in the past four seasons.
With this kind of usage and production, Drouin is firmly back on the fantasy hockey radar.
