Jason Chen and Michael Amato talk about Andrei Kuzmenko's two-game benching by Canucks bench boss Rick Tocchet and his big regression from 2022-23.

Sleepers and Keepers Podcast: Andrei Kuzmenko's Fantasy Value Takes a Big Dive

The Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast hosts Jason Chen and Michael Amato both admit Andrei Kuzmenko was due for a big regression after last season's 39-goal season thanks to a league-high 27.3 shooting percentage.

That shooting percentage has now fallen to the league average, but Kuzmenko's low shooting volume puts him on pace for just 12 goals and 117 shots.

He was recently benched for two straight games — a rare move when a coach is simply just sending a message. The problem isn't really Kuzmenko's talent, but his play away from the puck leaves a lot to be desired.

Kuzmenko will draw back into the lineup at some point, so he's worth holding, but his fantasy value has dropped much more than expected.
