Jason Chen and Michael Amato discuss the unwritten rules of fantasy hockey and whether it's good or bad etiquette to pick up a player so your rival manager can't.
The Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast co-host Michael Amato wonders if blocking, when a fantasy manager picks up a rival player so his opponent can't, is good etiquette. Jason Chen thinks it's fair game since it's within the rules, and is generally in favor of any move that brings more chaos to fantasy hockey competition.
Blocking does come at a cost, however, as it potentially wastes a roster spot that could be used for a more valuable player over a longer period of time.
Blocking occurs most often with goalies as there are only a certain number of them who start every night and there are categories specific to their position.
What do you think about blocking? Is it fair game?
