Well, it looks like there's a chance Valeri Nichushkin will return to the Avs lineup on Friday, just in time for Casey Mitttelstadt to make his debut after being acquired from the Sabres.
Nichushkin needed some time to get up to speed following a stint in the NHL/NHLPA Players Assistance Program.
The big Russian forward has been an excellent top-six winger when he's on the ice, scoring close to a point-per-game pace. With a beefed up Avs lineup, look for Nichushkin to return to his usual ways.
