Florida defeated the Hurricanes 6-3 on Friday afternoon in Raleigh
The Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes are set to battle for the second time in as many days.
On Friday afternoon in Raleigh, the Panthers defeated Carolina 6-3 thanks to a well-balanced scoring attack and strong play in goal from Sergei Bobrovsky.
Now the Cats and Canes will lock horns once again, but this time they’ll do it from the big hockey barn in Sunrise.

Florida has won two straight games, each against high-end opponents (Carolina and Toronto), after enduring a stretch in which they lost seven of eight.
For the most part, the Panthers were pleased with how they performed during the opener against Carolina.
Still, there were some things they’d like to clean up, and conversely, the Hurricanes surely will want to make up for some of their shortcomings on Friday.
The question entering Saturday’s game will be Florida can build and improve off their effort because Carolina will be fighting tooth and nail to avoid dropping a second straight game, something they’ve only done once this season.
With the Cats coming off consecutive wins and seemingly gaining some momentum, don’t be surprised to see them roll out the same lineup again.
The only exception would be in goal, where Spencer Knight will likely get the start after Bobrovsky picked up the win on Friday.
Here are the Panthers projected lines and for Saturday’s rematch with Carolina:
Evan Rodrigues – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart
Carter Verhaeghe – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk
Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Jesper Boqvist
A.J. Greer – Tomas Nosek – Mackie Samoskevich
Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad
Niko Mikkola – Nate Schmidt
Dmitry Kulikov – Uvis Balinskis
Scratches: Jonah Gadjovich, Adam Boqvist
