Florida has won five straight games overall and 12 of 13 on the road
Fresh off Monday night’s thrilling victory at Madison Square Garden, the Florida Panthers will head across the Hudson River for another battle with a tough team from the Metropolitan Division.
The New York Rangers were as tough of a test as the Panthers have faced, but the Cats were able to claw their way to a 4-2 victory.
Now they’ll have to quickly recharge the batteries because they’re going to face a New Jersey Devils squad that will be full of energy and looking to put the past behind them.
That’s because on Monday, the Devils fired now-former Head Coach Lindy Ruff and named assistant Travis Green interim bench boss.

It’s been a disappointing season for New Jersey after they came within a point of the Metro Division crown last year and reached the second round of the playoffs with a young and seemingly ascending roster.
The Devils have failed to regain the magic they possessed last season, with injuries and inconsistent goaltending standing out as a couple main reasons for the regression.
Entering play Tuesday, New Jersey is eight points behind the Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning, who are tied with 72 points for the two Wildcard spots.
Florida, meanwhile, has won five straight games, 15 of their past 17 and are an NHL-best 24-4-2 since Dec. 23.
They’ve also won 12 of 13 on the road and lead the league with 22 victories away from Amerant Bank Arena.
Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings ahead of Tuesday’s duel with the Devils:
Carter Verhaeghe – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart
Nick Cousins – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk
Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Evan Rodrigues
Jonah Gadjovich – Kevin Stenlund – Ryan Lomberg
Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad
Niko Mikkola – Brandon Montour
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Dmitry Kulikov
Antony Stolarz
