Florida has won eight straight games but hasn't played on home ice in almost two weeks
After traveling a long and winding road, Florida Panthers are finally back on home ice and looking to extend an impressive winning streak.
Florida has reeled off eight straight wins and are fresh off an exhilarating four-game road trip that included a pitstop in picturesque Vail, Colorado.
Now the Cats will aim to continue their climb to the top of the Atlantic Division standings when they host the Los Angeles Kings at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday night.
The Kings are one of the NHL’s best teams when playing on the road, holding a 13-3-2 record away from home.
Currently, Los Angeles has been struggling to pick up wins. They enter Thursday’s matchup with Florida 0-3-3 over their past six games, including Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime loss to Tampa Bay in which LA was up 2-0 with less than nine minutes left in the game before ultimately falling in the extra session.

Now the Kings will try to end their losing streak against a Panthers team playing its best hockey of the season.
Sergei Bobrovsky will be back between the pips for Florida, head coach Paul Maurice confirmed after the Panthers win in St. Louis on Tuesday.
Bobrovsky has won each of his past six starts and is currently holding a 20-9-1 record.
The 20 wins are tied for third-most in the NHL.
Bob is also sporting a tidy .911 save percentage and 2.45 goals against average, which would be the lowest of his five seasons with the Panthers.
Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings for Thursday’s matchup with the Kings:
Evan Rodrigues – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart
Carter Verhaeghe – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk
Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Ryan Lomberg
Jonah Gadjovich – Kevin Stenlund – Will Lockwood
Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad
Niko Mikkola – Oliver Ekman-Larsson
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Dmirty Kulikov
