The Florida Panthers simply dominated the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 5, defeating the Original Six club by a 6-1 final score. It was an incredible performance by the Panthers, and they are now just one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Final for the third year in a row.

Dmitry Kulikov, Jesper Boqvist, Niko Mikkola, and A.J. Greer each scored their first goals of the playoffs for the Panthers in their Game 5 matchup against Toronto. With this, the Panthers have now accomplished a rare feat.

According to NHL Public Relations, the Panthers became the first team since the 1993 Los Angeles Kings to have 17 different goal scorers through their first 10 games of the playoffs.

This is simply an outstanding achievement for the Cats, and it is undoubtedly a major reason why they are once again having success this post-season. Depth scoring is crucial in the playoffs, and the Panthers are getting plenty of it.

The only Panthers players who have appeared in at least one playoff game and are still looking for their first goal are Gustav Forsling, Evan Rodrigues, Nico Sturm, Mackie Samoskevich, and Tomas Nosek. Yet, with the way Florida is scoring right now, it would not be surprising in the slightest if at least one of them changes that before the playoffs are done.

It will now be fascinating to see if the Panthers can stay hot in Game 6 against the Leafs and pick up another win from here.
