The Kraken enter Tuesday's game having lost eight consecutive games

Panthers forward Carter Verhaeghe speaks to the media following Florida's 5-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Dec. 10 at Nationwide Arena.

The Florida Panthers kick off the farthest portion of their travel schedule on Tuesday night when they face the Seattle Kraken.

It’s the first of four games played in the chilly northwest, followed by contests in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary.

Florida enters play on Tuesday holding a 8-4-2 record on the road, with the eight wins tied for seventh-most in the league.

The Panthers are also riding a five-game points streak on the road (4-0-1).

Things have not been going nearly as well lately for the Kraken.

Seattle enters Tuesday’s game riding an eight-game losing streak. They last won on Nov. 22 against San Jose.

Finding consistent offense has been an issue for the Kraken of late, scoring just 13 times during the losing skid, good for 1.6 goals per game.

Tuesday’s matchup will be the second and final of the season between Florida and Seattle.

The Panthers picked up a comeback win over the Kraken back on Oct. 28 at Amerant Bank Arena, marching back from a 2-0 second period deficit on goals by Gus Forsling, Matthew Tkachuk and Nick Cousins.

Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings for Tuesday’s tilt in Seattle:

Carter Verhaeghe – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart

Nick Cousins – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk

Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Evan Rodrigues

Jonah Gadjovich – Kevin Stenlund – Ryan Lomberg

Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad

Niko Mikkola – Brandon Montour

Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Dmitry Kulikov
