Florida has lost consecutive games for the first time since games No. 1 and 2 of the season
The Florida Panthers are looking to bounce back after a pair of tough home losses as they hit the road for three straight games against Canadian divisional opponents.
All the fun begins on Monday night when Florida opens up a back-to-back against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre.
It will be the first meeting between the Panthers and Senators this season after Florida went 2-1-0 against the Sens last season.
In those three games, Brandon Montour led all players with 2 goals and 7 points while Matthew Tkachuk added a goal and 5 points.
While the Panthers and Senators are both among the top five in the NHL in terms of shots on goal per game – Florida is tied for second at 33.5 while Ottawa is fifth with 32.8 – it’s the Sens who convert on those shots quite a bit more.
The Panthers only average 2.90 goals per game, good for 23rd in the NHL, while Ottawa scores 3.69 goals per game, which ranks them sixth.

On the flip side, Florida is seventh in the NHL in goals against, giving up just 2.75 per game, but Ottawa surrenders 3.38 goals per game, just 20th best in the league.
Both teams are coming off a loss, but the Senators have still won four of their past six.
Florida, meanwhile, boasts wins in seven of ten…despite the consecutive defeats.
Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings for Monday’s battle in Canada’s capital city.
Evan Rodrigues – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart
Carter Verhaeghe – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk
Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Nick Cousins
Jonah Gadjovich – Kevin Stenlund – Ryan Lomberg
Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad
Niko Mikkola – Brandon Montour
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Dmitry Kulikov
