The Florida Panthers secured a massive 2-0 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 4. With this, the Panthers have now tied the series back up at 2-2 after losing each of the first two games.
However, the end of this contest certainly had fireworks. During a puck battle in the final seconds of Game 4, Maple Leafs forward Max Domi hit Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov from behind into the boards. Domi, understandably, received a five-minute major for boarding on the play.
While speaking to reporters about Domi's hit following the game, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice kept a cool head but also made it clear that he thinks the league will be looking at it.
"I think the league looks at those things very closely, especially at that point of the game," Maurice said. "That's their job."
Maurice was correct in his belief that the league would review Domi's hit, as NHL Player Safety has fined the Maple Leafs forward $5,000 for boarding for Barkov.
