Amerant Bank became official naming rights partner with the Panthers home arena in 2023

Panthers forward Carter Verhaeghe speaks after Florida's 2-1 loss to New York on May 24.

When the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers take the ice for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday, there will be some special visitors in the stands.

Amerant Bank, which became naming rights sponsor of the Panthers home arena last year, has purchased and donated 250 tickets to Game 4 to local veterans and first responders.

According to Amerant, this is part of an ongoing mission “to empower and give back to the local communities it serves.”

Amerant Bank will gift tickets to those who have selflessly served our country and community, in collaboration with organizations that work with the Florida Panthers, including United States Coast Guard – Miami Sector, United States Navy Talent Acquisition Group-Miami (NTAG Miami), Mission United, Deliver the Dream, Rebuilding Together Broward, Panthers Warriors, Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, Coral Springs Police, and Sunrise Police.

In addition, the bank also purchased 250 tickets to Sunday’s Game 3 that were distributed to 125 team members for them to bring a guest to the game.

Last season, Amerant became the official bank of the Panthers. It has since donated $40 for every save made by a Panthers goalie during the regular season and playoffs to a program directly benefiting some of South Florida’s veteran-focused nonprofits.

“The Florida Panthers are honored to partner with Amerant Bank in supporting and honoring our veterans and first responders,” Florida Panthers CEO Matt Caldwell said in a press release from Amerant. “Our collaboration with Amerant Bank highlights our shared commitment to giving back to the community. We look forward to welcoming these heroes to Game 4 and celebrating their amazing contributions.”

So far, according to Amerant, the bank donated over $120,000 from the 2022-23 season.
