The Florida Panthers have been making plenty of moves over the last several days, and they have now made another one.

According to PuckPedia, the Panthers have signed goaltender Daniil Tarasov to a one-year, $1.05 million contract for the 2025-26 season.

The Panthers acquired Tarasov from the Columbus Blue Jackets last week in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick. Now, the Panthers have signed him instead of letting him become a restricted free agent (RFA).

Tarasov, 26, had a 7-10-2 record, a 3.54 goals-against average, and a .881 save percentage in 20 games this past season with the Blue Jackets. While it was a bit of a tough campaign for him, there is reason to believe that he can bounce back in Florda. Just back in 2023-24, he had a .908 save percentage in 24 games.

It will be interesting to see what kind of season Tarasov puts together after landing this one-year deal with the Panthers from here.
