The Hockey Show returned this week as the NHL kicked back into gear following the successful 4 Nations Face-Off.

February is Black History Month and to help celebrate and mark the occasion, the show welcomed Black Girls Hockey Club board member Fatou Bah.

She discussed the goals of the organization and how its grown in recent years, and how things like the formation of the PHWA has impacted bringing young women of color into the game.

This week’s slapshots included Rob Ray’s painful hot mic moment in Buffalo, a painful anniversary of a famous elbow, an unfortunate puck block by a referee in a very, you guessed it, painful location, and plenty more.

In fact, show producer Rose had her own win of the week, and of course it had a connection to Wicked with the Oscars coming up this weekend.
