The NHL is in full offseason mode, which means it’s time for some summer fun on The Hockey Show.
This week, hosts Roy Bellamy and David Dwork welcomed friend of the show Adnan Virk from Prime Monday Night Hockey on Amazon and now distinguished author of his first book, “Cinephile” which comes out next month.
In addition to discussing some of the interesting topics from his book, Adnan and Dave also came up with an interesting Top 5 list: the Top 5 Fictional Coaches Who Would Make A Good Hockey Coach.
Included among the selections were Lou Brown from “Major League,” Ted Lasso from “Ted Lasso,” and Tony DiMato from “Any Given Sunday.”
Wins and fails of the week included a big week for Matthew Tkachuk, a horse at Saratoga named Bobrovsky, a less than desirable quote from Matvei Michkov and a scheduling snafu for the NHL’s defending champions.
Roy also had some thoughts about the apology made by the guy who had his butt kicked by Nick Tarnasky on the golf course, and Dave had some fresh thoughts for all the people who complain about teams in no-tax states having an unfair advantage.
