This week we tried something a little different on the Hockey Show, and if you don't like it, it's Rose's fault
It’s the first week of the new NHL season!
That’s a big deal when your show is called The Hockey Show and it covers the NHL.
With all that being the case, this week THS hosts Roy Bellamy and David Dwork tried out a new, extended format that was the brainchild of our amazing producer Rose Arias.
That means more takes, more video, and hopefully more fun in addition to our usual amazing lineup of guests.
This week, we welcomed Shayna Goldman of The Athletic and the Too Many Men podcast.
Among the topics discussed were postseason team predictions from the Eastern Conference, possible Calder Trophy and Jack Adams candidates, and the first female coach in the history of the league.
Roy and Dave also get into the first week of the Florida Panthers season, which included a win, a loss, a ring ceremony, a banner raising and a nasty-looking injury to their captain.
As a bonus, they also discuss a couple spectacular Paul Maurice clips from the new Amazon show Faceoff: Inside the NHL.
