Florida has an impressive 13-2-2 record since late December

There’s an argument to be made that the Florida Panthers have become a bit of a streaky team of late.

They went from an impressive nine-game winning streak to suddenly going four straight without a win.

The thoughts of that unpleasant little run were quickly erased by the current four-game winning streak that Florida took into the NHL All-Star break.

Not to mention the Panthers have also won eight consecutive games on the road, a franchise record.

    So yeah, streaky.

Let’s take a look at each of the Panthers last four wins, all coming within a six day span last week.

Monday in Nashville, Florida was anxious to snap a four-game winless skin and it showed in a dominant road win.

A couple nights later, the Panthers were back on home ice and had revenge on the mind when the Jason Zucker and the Arizona Coyotes came to town.

Two fights in the game’s first seven seconds set the tone for what would be a rough evening for the Yotes.

The Panthers wrapped up their pre-All-Star schedule with a tough back-to-back in Pittsburgh and Long Island.

Both teams are in a similar position to what Florida was dealing with a season ago, entering the season’s second half having to fight for every point in hopes of clawing back into a playoff spot.

First came a penalty-filled hodgepodge in Pittsburgh that required a shootout to decide a winner.

Less than 24 hours later at UBS Arena, Florida would again have to overcome a normally demoralizing late game-tying goal and find a way to earn that crucial second point.

Fortunately, this time the game wouldn’t require a skills competition to decide the winner.
