Several Florida Panthers players took time away from the hockey rink on Wednesday to visit some of the team's most important fans.

Anton Lundell, Josh Mahura, Will Lockwood and Kevin Stenlund visited patients in the pediatric unit of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

“These kids bring a great perspective to you, and you can see how happy they are,” Lockwood said. “You think you come here to brighten up their day, but they end up brightening up your day. It's pretty special."

Also joining the fun was Stanley C. Panther and members of the Florida Panthers dance team.

During their visit, the Panthers players hung out with several of the young patients.

They worked on arts and crafts projects together, making valentines for the upcoming holiday.

“It's been such a fun time to see all the smiles and all the joy,” said Lundell. “You could tell when they started getting more comfortable, they were letting loose and telling us more and more, which was awesome.”

Video footage of their visit can be seen at the top of this page.
