Fromer Los Angeles King forward Victor Arvidsson played his first game with the Edmonton Oilers, but it didn't go as planned.

Victor Arvidsson made his highly anticipated debut with the Edmonton Oilers last night Oct. 9, but it didn't as he or the Oilers had hoped.

The Oilers opened their season against the Winnipeg Jets and struggled throughout the game, resulting in them losing 6-0.

Unforatunley, Arvidsson will need to wait until their next game to find the scoresheet with his new linemates; Leon Draisaitl and Jeff Skinner.

Previously, Arvidsson played for the Los Angeles Kings, where he had carved out a solid role and became one of the most liked players in the locker room.

However, this off-season, he chose to test the open market and join their rival Oilers, a move that didn't sit well with Kings fan.

Regardless, of the loss tonight, as the season progresses, he will contribute  and try to help the Oilers achieve hoist the Stanley Cup.
