Tonight's player to watch for against the Los Angeles Kings is Kirill Kaprizov.

Kirill Kaprizov for Hart?

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (8-1-2) are on home ice tonight to face the Los Angeles Kings (7-3-3) before they embark on a three game road trip.

Tonight's player to watch for is Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov. In his career against the Kings, Kaprizov has always done well. But he is coming off a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs where he had zero points.

Kaprizov, 27, has recorded a point in every game this year expect two. The last time he did not have a point, Kaprizov followed it up with six goals, 11 assists, and 17 points in his next seven games.

He was first in the NHL in both assists and points in those seven games and was tied for third in goals.

In his career against the Kings, Kaprizov is tied for the Wild lead in goals with ten. Joel Eriksson Ek has ten in 23 career games against the Kings. Kaprizov has ten in 17 games.

He is second on the Wild in career points against the Kings with 17. Only Mats Zuccarello has more points with 18. But Zuccarello has 18 in 29 career games against Los Angeles.

David Rittich is expected to start tonight for the Kings. Kaprizov has faced him three times in his career and has zero goals on 12 shots. Can he break through tonight?
