    The 2023-24 season is officially underway as the Wild travel to Colorado to take on the Avalanche for their first reason game of the year. 

    Jesper Wallstedt will start in goal for the Wild, Filip Gustavsson will be the backup.

    Top prospects Hunter Haight, Riley Heidt, and Rasmus Kumpulainen will take part in the game among nine other forwards. Brandon Duhaime, Connor Dewar, Alex Goligoski, Calen Addison, and Jon Merrill will all play in the game as well.

    Wild head coach Dean Evason said the NHL regulars will all play in three preseason games expect Ryan Hartman, who is scheduled to only play in two. He battled an injury the first two days of camp but seems to be okay now. 

    Pat Maroon has been practicing with Duhaime and Dewar throughout camp but won't travel to Colorado. Jujhar Khaira is expected to take his spot on the line. 

    Vinni Lettieri is expected to center Nic Petan and Sammy Walker on the first line with Dewar's line being the second line. 

    The rest of the roster playing includes defenders: Dakota Mermis, Simon Johansson, Daemon Hunt, and Kalem Parker and forwards: Steven Fogarty, Nick Swaney, and Servac Petrovsky.

    This game won't be streamed online by the Wild or the Avalanche so the only way you can keep up with the game is by radio. The game can be listened to on Kool108fm at 2:00 pm.
