The NHL announced on Monday every team's home opener for the 2024-25 season. They are expected to announce the full schedule on Tuesday.
Minnesota opened last year at home against the Florida Panthers and will now have their home opner against the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 10th.
The Wild are 11-4-5 in their last 20 games against the Blue Jackets at home and are 8-1-3 in their last 12 games overall. Minnesota went 1-0-1 against the Columbus last season.
Minnesota is 33-22-11 against Columbus all-time and are 21-7-6 at home against the Blue Jackets.
