ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (20-8-4) will turn back to veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury against the Utah Hockey Club (15-11-5) on Friday night to start his second straight game and third in the last four games.
Fleury, 40, is 6-2-1 on the year with a 2.88 goals-against average (GAA) and a .898 save percentage (SV%). He allowed six goals to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night in the Wild's 6-2 loss.
Wild head coach John Hynes said at morning skate that Filip Gustavsson is progressing and is skating. He was on the ice for morning skate but has been ruled out for this weekend.
He will skate again tomorrow but will not start.
Fleury has never played Utah in his long NHL career. Gustavsson started the Wild's game against Utah earlier in the year.
Jesper Wallstedt will back up Fleury tonight.
