The Wild are back on the road for one game against the Detroit Red Wings as they look to snap their six game losing streak.
The Wild head back on the road for one game against the Detroit Red Wings before returning back home to host the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.
Minnesota (5-9-4) have lost six straight games which has tied a franchise record, the Wild lost six straight during the 2013-14 season but went on to finish the year 43-27-12 and lost in the second round of the playoffs.
The Wild will look to put an end to their losing streak with a win on the road, something they haven't done in 19 days and are 2-5-2 on the road this season.
They will look to beat the 10-6-3 Red Wings who are 6-3-2 on home ice. Alex Goligoski was activated from LTIR last game but did not play against the Colorado Avalanche but will play today.
The 38-year-old defenseman will take Jon Merrill's spot on the bottom pair with Zach Bogosian and will run the Wild's second power play unit.
Minnesota worked a lot on the power play in practice yesterday but mainly worked on plays while also switching up the formation so we will see if it works out or not.
Marc-Andre Fleury will be out tonight due to a sickness so Filip Gustavsson will be the Wild's starter tonight. Gustavsson has been pretty good in his last two games. The 25-year-old goaltender has a .933 save percentage and a 1.94 goals against average in his last two games and is 0-1-1 in that span.
Marcus Foligno did not practice yesterday but is expected to still play today, as Wild head coach Dean Evason called it a "maintenance day."
