ST. PAUL - The Buffalo Sabres beat the Wild back in November in Buffalo but tonight the Wild will seek some revenge on the Sabres (23-26-4) who are 5-5-0 in their last ten games. While the Wild (25-23-5) are 7-3-0 in their last ten games.

A couple of days ago the Wild burned Mason Shaw's AHL deal and signed him to an NHL deal. He won't be in the lineup tonight but Declan Chisholm, whom the Wild waiver claimed back in January, will make his Wild debut against the Sabres.

There are a couple of connections from tonight's game. Buffalo's Jordan Greenway spent six seasons in Minnesota before he was traded to Buffalo last season for a second-round pick in the 2023 draft. Greenway has eight goals and 17 points in 41 games for the Sabres this season.

Zach Bogosian spent six seasons in Buffalo from 2014 to 2020 and is now in his first season with Minnesota. Buffalo's Ryan Johnson played three seasons with Brock Faber at the University of Minnesota and was on the Gophers last season during their National Championship run.

Alex Tuch was a former Wild first-round pick back in 2014 and now is playing in his third season with Buffalo after being traded from Vegas in the Jack Eichel deal. Casey Mittelstadt leads the Sabres in points and played his high school hockey for Eden Prairie as well as his college hockey for the Gophers. There are many more connections as well.

No lineup changes for the Wild other than Chisholm in the lineup and Dakota Mermis out of the lineup.
