The Minnesota Wild will look to remain unbeaten Tuesday night when they face the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center.
The Minnesota Wild (2-0-0) is back in action tonight to start a three-game roadtrip, first against the Buffalo Sabres (1-1-0).
Minnesota enters the matchup 2-0-0 after opening the season with a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators and following it up with a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins.
The Wild have outscored their opponents 7-2 through two games. Buffalo is 1-1-0 after dropping its opener 6-3 to Columbus before earning a 4-3 win over Chicago.
Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
The Wild will roll with the same lineup they used in their first two games, with Kirill Kaprizov, Danila Yurov and Maxim Shabanov together on the top line.
Yurov left Monday's practice early, but participated in Tuesday's optional morning skate and remains in the lineup.
Wallstedt is expected to make his third consecutive start. The 23-year-old has been one of Minnesota's best players early, going 2-0-0 with a 1.01 goals-against average and .957 save percentage.
He has stopped 45 of the 47 shots he has faced and has yet to allow a power-play goal, stopping all 10 shots while Minnesota has been shorthanded. Tuesday will be his first career appearance against Buffalo.
Minnesota's special teams have also been a strength through two games. The Wild are a perfect 7-for-7 on the penalty kill and have scored three power-play goals.
